Lapis Lazuli
Lapis Lazuli has developed a lot this semester, mainly with the story structure. After speaking with Julia Bracegirdle, she advised me to work on the project pre production, and pitch the idea of the film after graduating university.
The first idea of the film was about a girl Mia going on a adventure to find a magic stone.
Every night before going to bed Mia's grandma reads her a story about the lapis lazuli stone ,which was made from the moon dust.Unfortunately one day, their life changes.Grandmother gets sick and the girl decides to go to the Baba Yaga's house to get the healing stone and save her granny. On the way she meets her friend otter and a enchanted boy (who's a giant),who help her find the witch.

Final Idea
This pre-production project is all about Slavic fantasies. It draws on my childhood memories of Slavic folklore, full of legends and myths.
Lapis Lazuli tells a story about a young girl named M I A, who goes on an adventure to find B A B A Y A G A, who keeps a magical stone under her house on a chicken leg. M I A stumbles upon many Slavic daemons and creatures along the way - the little she knows, what awaits her.
The rumour spreads around the village, and stories about M I A’s dissapearance start to emerge...
Will she become an epic hero, everyone wants her to be?

Plastic Tide
My hope is that after watching my animation you will love oceans and their creatures a little bit more and may start to realise that, even thought you may not be wet right nowW, the oceans and their health are the key to our own long-term survival.
The animation should make you think twice next time a fish finger shows up on your plate. If we can change our ways when it comes to the products we use and the waste we make, we can change the planet - so it’s time to stand up and give a voice to the creatures of the blue!

In the beginning of the project I was really excited to work on it and possibly do it around 3 minutes, but I have decided to make it shorter because I would also like to focus on the other project a bit more.I worked really hard on the boards but because they are really detailed I got tired of doing just that ,and i wasn't able to work on the variations of storyboard.During next few week I want to focus on movement in the story and work rough,I plan to make the animation around 30 up to 45 seconds.
Research
As research I wen to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition and I have also volunteered in Ocean Film festival, where I have seen film called Blue, that inspired me to make the film.In previous research I also went to Sharkfest in Bristol, where I listened to the talks about manta rays , whale sharks and plastic pollution,on that festival I spoke with the lady from City to Sea,Natalie Fee.
